Megadeth is an American thrash metal band led by founder, frontman, guitarist, and songwriter Dave Mustaine. Formed in 1983 following Mustaine's departure from Metallica, the band has since released eleven studio albums, six live albums, two EPs, and two compilations
As a pioneer of the American thrash metal movement, Megadeth rose to international fame in the 1980s, but were plagued by constant lineup changes, due partly to the band's notorious substance abuse problems. After finding sobriety and securing a stable lineup, Megadeth went on to release a string of platinum and gold albums, including the Grammy nominated, double-platinum Countdown to Extinction in 1992. Megadeth disbanded in 2002 after Mustaine suffered a severe nerve injury to his left arm, but following extensive physical therapy, Mustaine reformed the band in 2004 and released The System Has Failed, which debuted at #18 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, followed by United Abominations in 2007, which debuted at #8 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

Live: Right Here, Right Now. is the one and only live album by American hard rock band Van Halen, released in 1993. The album combines songs performed over two nights in May 1992 at the Selland Arena in Fresno, CA. The bulk of the songs on this album were from the first night, such as the solos performed by Eddie Van Halen and Sammy Hagar. There is much debate as to whether or not the songs on this album have been doctored in the studio, as the original 1992 broadcast of these songs from Cabo Wabo, were much more raw and unmixed sounding, and actually sounded more true to the bands' live sound, than the actual album itself.

The album contained four David Lee Roth era songs (including Van Halen's arrangement of "You Really Got Me" by The Kinks), and two songs from Sammy Hagar's solo years. It also featured drum and bass solos and a cover of a song by The Who. As is the case with most tours, the band had been focusing on songs from the new album for the tour's duration. The then-current album, For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge is very well represented, with ten of the twenty four songs originally featured on that album.

Gigantour is the name of an annual (sometimes biennial) six-week traveling heavy metal music festival organized by Megadeth's Dave Mustaine. The tour was founded in 2005 with dates across North America, and the 2006 and 2007 line-ups also traveled to Australia. The bands appearing at the festival were chosen by Mustaine because he wanted to "put together a festival that consisted of positive bands that play heavy music in a high energy environment." The tour is set as an alternative to tours such as Ozzfest. The name "Gigantour" was inspired by the classic 1960s anime Gigantor.

The album was released on August 29, 2006 and contains the entire concert setlist, including the encore. A condensed version of the concert was aired on VH1 Classic on August 25, 2006, 4 days before the release of the album and DVD.
The name of the album comes from the word "score", meaning the number twenty. It was chosen in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Dream Theater. "Score" could also mean a conductor's musical score, parts of which are used on the packaging imagery. Given Octavarium's references to the numbers five and eight, it is interesting to note that at the time of Score's release, Dream Theater had, in their discography, five live albums and eight studio albums.
Two of the songs recorded on this album were previously unreleased: "Another Won", a song written by the band when they were still named Majesty, and "Raise The Knife", a song omitted from Falling Into Infinity.
